Social Updates: February
We’re only two months into 2023 and these social platform updates seem to just be flying out of the drawing board! Luckily for you, we’ve made a summary of this month’s changes. Here are all the most recent social media updates you NEED to know 👇
🔝 TikTok has added four new tools to its “Promote” ad feature allowing users to boost their views using a simplified campaign creator within the app. Brands can now set their ad goals, whether it be to drive more visits to your TikTok page, receive more messages, boost content made by other creators you are working with or target your audience by location.
🔡 Twitter Blue Subscribers can now post tweets up to 4,000 characters long, but with only 300,000 users subscribed to Twitter blue out of the 250 million signed up to Twitter - we don’t expect to see these long-form tweets pop up too often.
👥 Instagram have just started rolling out “Instagram Channels”, a new feature that functions as group messaging, allowing users to stay up to date with specific topics, brands or people.
💰 Meta has announced that they are testing “Meta Verified”, a new subscription that allows Facebook and Instagram users to gain increased visibility and support within the apps. Prices start at $11.99 per month on the web or $14.99 per month on iOS.
