Where’s the bird gone?
Say bye to the humble blue bird and hello to “X”.
The Twitter bird has now vanished for most people with automatic app updates on and the newly named platform is starting to take shape as X.
The new design will soon be followed by Elon’s plans to turn X into an “everything” site, with his focus set on gaining payment licencing in all US states so the app can make headway integrating banking and payment options. So far, X has managed to receive payment licensing in 3 US states; Michigan, Missouri and New Hampshire.
So is there anything new within the app?
The navigation bar on X now disappears when scrolling down and re-appears when you scroll up.
Retweets have reportedly been renamed to ‘Reposts’
The new default setting for X will be Dark mode, with the option to have the Dim appearance removed
XBlue Subscribers can now hide their checkmarks in the app
X is working on a new feature that will allow you to sort user’s posts by most recent, most liked and most engaged with.
Oh, boy! The internet is buzzing like a caffeinated bee about this move, and Twitter's loyal fans are not exactly doing the happy dance. As for us, well, we're keeping our lips sealed for now, eagerly waiting to see how this will rock the marketing boat. Let's just say we're sipping our tea and watching the Twitterverse drama unfold! 😄
