10 tips to ensure your event is a success
EVER HAD A MOMENT OF PANIC ABOUT YOUR BRANDING?
The imposter feeling sneaks in and you start questioning the who, what, where and why on earth you decided to do this? Yep, we know those feels! But we’re here to reassure you that your event brand WILL be a success if you just follow these ten simple steps:
1️⃣ Do your research: do people need what you’re offering? If so, why?
2️⃣ Know your competitors: what are they doing and how can you do it better?
3️⃣ Understand your audience: you might think you know who you’re targeting but take some time to deep-dive into your market research and work out what really makes them tick.
4️⃣ Create brand awareness: present your event well and make sure it’s seen in all the right places.
5️⃣ Build your digital platform: make it easy for people to find, recognise and engage with your event brand online.
6️⃣ Embrace hashtags: using event hashtags helps people find you more easily on social media.
7️⃣ Associate yourself with strong brands: you know the saying… ‘It’s not about what you know but who you know’..? These days it’s quick and easy to connect with brands. Reach out, who knows where it will take you…!
8️⃣ Use influencers and event attendees as brand advocates. See above. Reach out, we dare you!
9️⃣ Live and breathe your brand. You are its biggest fan, after all.
1️⃣0️⃣ Be realistic. Don’t over promise and under deliver. People remember negative experiences a hundred times more than positive ones (sadly).
Sounds simple, right?
