5 steps to ensure your event marketing strategy is a success

To ensure your event marketing strategy delivers. We’d love to hear what you think and what else you would add to the list!

1) SET CLEAR GOALS AND KPI'S TO PROPERLY MEASURE SUCCESS.

Revenue, total number of registrants, engagement across social, active community members, post event feedback.

How will you know your event's been a success? Set the parameters at the start.

2) ARTICULATE YOUR EVENT'S VALUE PROPOSITION.

Help attendees understand quickly what's in it for them.

Prospective registrants will want to know how they will benefit from attending the event. The clearer their understanding, the more likely they will be to book.

3) LAUNCH TARGETED SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS.

Include easily shareable content such as videos, eye-catching images or graphics.

Make it easy for people to find the event by using a consistent hashtag.

4) DEVELOP AN INTERESTING CONTENT STRATEGY.

Pre event interviews with speakers ahead of the event, industry predictions or behind- the-scenes shots in video, text or picture format can entice potential delegates to take the time to find out more.

5) PLAN A SERIES OF RETENTION COMMS.

You've worked hard to get them there, make sure you keep those delegates engaged ahead of the event with a series of comms. Drop them a call to make sure they have everything they need or send them the latest event updates via email.
