Using video to promote your event

There’s so much you can do with video on social media - from 10 second teasers, to Instagram lives, and longer-length reels. And that’s before we’ve mentioned the music, filters and snazzy effects!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But what’s the best way to benefit from videos as part of your event marketing strategy? Here are some ideas to get you started:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Meet the speakers!
Short hello’s from the speakers will really bring them to life. All it needs is a brief introduction about who they are, what their background is in and what they’re most looking forward to about your event!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Re-use footage
Got some great footage from a previous event? Happy delegates, delicious canapés, good old fashioned fun? It all helps viewers understand your brand and show off your super slick event skills!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Ask the audience
We’ve all seen online polls posted with pics - but why not use a video instead? Ask your audience if they’d prefer white or black goody bags, or whether you break for lunch at 12pm or 1pm! It helps them stay engaged and shows your human side!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Quick Q&As
Provide some longer content too. Host a Q&A with one of your speakers where you can ask them event-specific questions as well as going into more detail about their life and experience.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Sneaky-peeks!
As you get closer to your event, share some behind-the-scenes footage of you prepping and setting-up! Enthusiasm is infectious! (And don’t forget to push people to get tickets or sign-up!)
